How to make a takeout pizza from scratch with this DIY recipe

Here’s how to make pizza crust from scratch.


Wash your ingredients in cold water and let them soak for at least an hour.


Heat your oven to 425 degrees F and set the baking sheet on it. 3.

Place the dough in a bowl.


Take one of the long sides of the dough and shape it into a cylinder about 3/4 inch wide by 1 inch deep.


Take the long end of the cylinder and wrap it around the long side of the pizza dough.


Place one of your pizza dough rolls in the middle of the two long sides.


Fold the dough over the pizza roll.


Wrap the top of the roll around the sides of a pizza crust.


Fold over the top. 


Wrap it around another dough roll and place it in the center of the remaining pizza dough roll. 


Wrap and close the pizza crust, making sure to seal all of the seams and edges. 


Use your hands to spread the toppings on the pizza. 


Roll out the pizza to a thick, flat sheet. 


Brush the top and sides of your takeout pie crust with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper. 


Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
