Why does dog food contain the same kind of chemicals as humans?
It’s not unusual for a food to contain some ingredients that are common in humans, but they’re not necessarily common in dogs, according to a new study.
Scientists found that in dog food that is made from genetically modified (GM) ingredients, the amount of those chemicals varies dramatically depending on which animal species is used.
This isn’t to say that dogs are necessarily better at eating GM foods.
However, it’s a reminder that it’s better to take your chances with food products made from natural ingredients.
